12th Learning journal

This time I will only talk about this online portfolio. I have already discussed a lot of things in my learning journal entries, but I have noticed that I have never talked about my portfolio in a deeper way.

I have to confess that I am not a big fan of portfolios, like everybody else, but I do recognize that they are important not only to develop our writing and organizing skills among others, but also, and in my opinion, and most important of all is for us to see our evolution in English as students.

Last year, my English portfolio was done in paper, but this year I was given the opportunity to have an online portfolio, and I took the risk. And I am glad I did it, of course that it also involves hard work but it is much more practical and has a whole new presentation.

I think my blog is easy reading, and at the same time it reflects my interests not only as a student but also as a teenage girl.

Each section has its own picture, and there are six different sections: "My Learning journal" where you can find my reflection as a student; in the " Grammar Section" you will find different grammar topics that were discussed in class or that I need to " refresh"; " Vocabulary Section" like the name says is a section where I put the new words that I was able to learn in each unit. " About the... " and " My writing skills" are two new sections that I have created this year, the first one contains biographies, photos and videos about different important people that we spoke in the classes. " My writing skills" shows my writing works that were made during in class . Finally, I have " My own section" that is where I have things that I like and care about.

I try to write every month at least 6 posts, and sometimes it is very difficult to manage the time because I also have other subjects and works, and because I am such a perfectionist I want every post to be perfect, therefore I take much more time, but the truth is that it's worth the time and I am very glad with my work in this portfolio.

This way, I think that there is noything left to say about this online portfolio, Star's Avenue, and I can only expect that you like it.

See you in March,

Joana C.
