8th Learning Journal

Like I have told you before, in the last classes, we watched " The constant gardener" by Fernando Meirelles, starring Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz.
Justin ( Ralph Fiennes) is a very quiet english diplomate who travels with his very entusiastic wife, Tessa ( Rachel Weisz), to Kenia.

During their rest, Tessa is assasinated in a very violent way, under suspicious circunstaces . She was travelling with a man, so all people tryed to convice Justin that she was having an affair.

Although Justin does not believe ( or wants to) that his wife was having an effair, and beggins a research about her murder that will reveal a deep and dark conspiracy all over the world, which Tessa was trying to strugle against : under the excuse to help to prevent AIDS, by offering free medicines, in Kenia , a famous and great company was actually testing ( without people knowledge) their new medicine that would prevent tuberculosis in the future and that was extremely harmful for this people.
I really liked to watch this movie. The script it's at the same time so emotional and so real, it really catches your attention and makes you think about your existance, I mean, and I speak for myself, it's impossible to watch how people in third world countries live and do not value your own world.
I think that all people should watch this movie to stop thinking only about themselves, and start thinking about the others too, and, most of all, try to " be the change that you want to see ", like Ghandi once said.
Here is the trailer:
